Title:
HIGH-DENSITY DOUBLE-PILED WOVEN FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07243155
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain double-piled woven fabric of light weight, flexibility and rich draping properties by making the weights of the pile surface and back surface uneven, heavy and light.

CONSTITUTION: In double-plied woven fabric, 27 reed dents, 4 pile yarn healds and 6 alternative double heald for ground yarns are set and 60 count two ply yarns of 100 % cotton are used as the pile and ground yarns. The pile yarn P1 is threaded to the upper wefts 1, 2, 3 in the M form, then to the lower wefts 4, 5, 6 in the W form, respectively, and simultaneously, the ground wefts for drawing off the pile 1, 4 are threaded to form recurring weave using 6 wefts. Similarly, pile yarns P2, P3, P4 are threaded in M form to the upper wefts 2, 3, 4 and 6, 1, 2 and 5, 6, 1, respectively, simultaneously to the lower wefts 5, 6, 1 and 3, 4, 5 and 2, 3, 4 in the W form to minimize the crossing of pile yarns P1-P4 between the upper and lower ground wefts 1-6. After weaving, the raw fabric is cut at the center, the drawing-off wefts l, 4 are pulled out to allow the pile to appear on the back face.
