Abstract:

To provide a highly durable solid polyelectrolyte superior in mechanical strength, heat resistance and chemical stability, and low in cost.

This highly durable solid polyelectrolyte is provided with a base material containing a first polymer composed of a total fluoropolymer or a partial fluoropolymer, and a second polymer equipped with a structure bonded to the first polymer and expressed by a general formula: -(C(Z1)(Z2)-C(Z3)(Z4-Z5))- (wherein Z1is -F, -Rf1, -O-Rf2, or -Rf3-Rf4, Z2is -F, -Rf5, -O-Rf6, or -Rf7-Rf8, Z3is -F, -Rf9, -Rf10, or -Rf11-O-Rf12, Z4is nul, -Rf13, -O-Rf14, or -Rf15-O-Rf16, Z5is -SO3H, -COOH, -PO3H2, or -SO2NHSO2-Rf17, and Rf1to Rf17are a perfluoroalkyl group of a carbon number of 1 or more and 10 or less).
