Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques for producing high dynamic range images.SOLUTION: An embodiment comprises sample and hold circuitry 70A to produce a first sample with short exposure time, and sample and hold circuitry 70B to produce a second sample with long exposure time. A variable weighting factor defined based on a function is applied to the second sample, and the first sample and the weighted second sample are combined to generate a high dynamic range image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
