Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a highly calorific clean gas by reforming CO2 contained in the gas produced in a converter provided with equipment for recovering the produced gas by a noncombustion system into CO by feeding coal to the converter in a specified manner.
CONSTITUTION: In a converter provided with equipment for recovering the produced gas by a noncombustion system, coal is fed (1) to that part of the flue gas at which the temperature of the produced gas is 600°C or above during blowing, the coal is allowed to fall through the flue (7) and is brought into countercurrent contact with the rising produced gas 8 to convert CO2 contained in the produced gas into CO.
