Abstract:
To provide a polyolefin composition comprising a heterophasic propylene copolymer with good flowability and an excellent stiffness/toughness balance.SOLUTION: A heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO) comprises: a propylene homopolymer (HPP) having a melt flow rate MFR(230°C) in the range of 100-200 g/10 min; and an elastic propylene-ethylene copolymer (E). The HECO has a melt flow rate MFRin the range of 15-35 g/10 min, and comprises a xylene cold soluble (XCS) fraction in an amount of 26-36 wt.% based on the total weight of the HECO. The present invention further provides a polyolefin composition (PO) comprising the HECO, an automotive article comprising the HECO and/or PO, a process for preparation of the PO, and the use of the HECO for improving mechanical properties of the PO.SELECTED DRAWING: None
