To provide a high frequency amplification device which prevents the occurrence of unnecessary spurious, and a distortion removal method of the same.
A distortion compensation circuit 2 applies reversed phase distortion to signals in a wireless frequency band, which are inputted from the outside. A variable filter 4 passes only frequency components in a specified passing frequency band, which are output from the distortion compensation circuit 2. An amplification device 6 amplifies the output from the variable filter 4, and outputs the signals which are amplified and include normal phase distortion. A table memory 32 stores a table that configures the corresponding relationship between factors influencing the distortion of signals inputted from the outside, which occurs in the amplification device 6, and passing frequency bands of the variable filter 4. Referring to the table, a controller 30 specifies a passing frequency band corresponding to a factor that affects the distortion, and configures a passing frequency band of the variable filter 4 so as to be the same as the specified passing frequency band.
