Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency branching/coupling device, which reduces reflection.
SOLUTION: Concerning a high frequency branching/coupling device of (n) branches using a coplanar line, (n) divided ground conductors 60 are rotation symmetrically formed on a GaAs substrate 45 and these conductors are connected at one point of an origin x' in the center of the substrate with radial wiring 61. Thus, the potential of respective ground conductors is made equal in high frequencies. Next, (n) central conductors 50 are formed between (n) ground conductors 60 and a coplanar line radially branched from the center of rotational symmetry is formed. Especially, this line is made into a bridge at a branching point X thereof and formed across the origin x' of radial wiring 61. Thus, inter-wiring capacitance in this device is miniaturized. Therefore, the reflection based on that inter-wiring capacitance is miniaturized. Further, since the potential of respective ground conductors 60 is equal, the transmission mode of a high frequency signal is not disturbed. Thus, the loss caused by the disturbance of the mode is avoided as well.
