To provide a high-frequency oscillator for realizing turning oscillation frequency into broad band, while maintaining small size, using a coupler 2 by a left-handed system device.
In the coupler 2 by the left-handed system device, a port 1 is connected to a gate terminal of an FET 1; and when the port 1 is used as an input port, ports 2 and 4 are isolation ports and a port 3 is a passage port with respect to a frequency band fb1. With respect to a frequency band fb2, the port 2 is a passage port, whereas the ports 3 and 4 are isolation ports. The high-frequency oscillator can oscillate in the frequency band fb1 through a resonance circuit 4a, the ports 1 and 3 of the coupler 2, the FET, and a tuning circuit 5; it can oscillate in the frequency band fb2 through a resonance circuit 4b, the ports 1 and 2 of the coupler 2, the FET 1, and the tuning circuit 5. While the small size is being maintained, the oscillator can realize turning the oscillation frequency into broad band.
