To provide a high-frequency sensor device equipped with an antenna whose radiation pattern is easily controlled.
The high-frequency sensor device includes a transmission unit which generates a transmission wave, the antenna which radiates the transmission wave and receives at least one of a reflected wave and a transmitted wave of the transmission wave from an object as a reception wave, a reception unit which detects the reception wave, and a difference detection unit which extracts the difference between frequency components of the transmission wave and reception wave and outputs a Doppler signal. The antenna includes a feed element having a patch electrode and a passive element having a patch electrode, and the passive element is disposed such that the gain of the antenna in the range of 3 dB from its maximum gain is perpendicular to a plane containing the patch electrode and localized in only one of two spaces sectioned by a vertical plane crossing the feed element.
