Title:
HIGH FREQUENCY SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007325303
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a high frequency sensor which not only changes a radio wave beam radiation direction with a simple structure but also senses a human body or an object in a wide area precisely by means of an antenna with electrodes positioned in a way that the radio wave beam is spread as it travels in the radiation direction.

This high frequency sensor radiates radio waves via a microstrip antenna and senses an object move by using the Doppler effect of the radiowaves. The microstrip antenna comprises a substrate, a feeding element on the front of the substrate, a non-feeding element with a predefined inter-device element from the feeding element on the front of the substrate, and a grounding means for switching grounding and floating of each of the feeding element and the non-feeding element. The feeding and non-feeding elements are both conductive thin films. The non-feeding element is placed in a way that it is orthogonal to the direction of feeding element excitation, and only in the directions of both sides of the feeding element.
