Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high-resolution display which does not reduce the information volume (the number of bits) of multi-bit monochromatic image data and to use interfaces and inter-device connection lines for general OS as they are.
SOLUTION: A conversion part 13 converts multi-bit monochromatic image data to false color image data having the same bit constitution as general color image data, with respect to each pixel. A driver 14 and a video card 15 constitute a write/read means for general OS. Specifications for general OS are given to interfaces 16 and 21 and a connection line 10. An inverse conversion part 22 converts the color image data read out from the video card 15 or the false color image data to monochromatic image data.
