Abstract:

To obtain a high heat-resistant polyester dipped cord for rubber reinforcement, which retains mechanical properties without melting and breaking at a high temperature, especially at the melting point of ordinary polyester or above and to provide a method for producing the same.

The high heat-resistant polyester dipped cord is composed of a polyester fiber having an ethylene terephthalate unit as a main repeating unit and simultaneously satisfies properties of (a) the melting and breaking temperature in a thermal creep measurement is 275C, (b) the strength is 4.0 cN/dtex, and (c) the elongation at 2.0 cN/dtex load is 5.0%.
