Abstract:

To provide a high intrinsic resistance silicon steel having excellent toughness, machinability and magnetic properties.

The high intrinsic resistance silicon steel having excellent toughness, machinability and magnetic properties has a composition containing, by mass, ≤0.02% C, ≤3.5% Si, ≤0.5% Mn, ≤3.5% Al, ≤0.03% P, 0.005 to 0.04% S, ≤0.2% Ni, 5.0 to 9.9% Cr, 0.02 to 0.16% Ti, 0.03 to 0.30% Nb and ≤150 ppm N, and further satisfying Si+Al: 1.5 to 3.5%, Nb/S: ≥3.5 and (Ti-3.4N)/S: ≥0.8, and in which the total of Nb, Ti and S in inclusions is ≥60%, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.
