Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method which freely generates a new document form which can be automatically processed even in the case of the change of the order, arrangement, names, and the number of fields of the form.
CONSTITUTION: A high-level data collection architecture includes interactions of a host processor and work stations in a data processing system and provides an application program with a list of common operand names. A work sation recognizes characters of a written form and converts this information to encoded data and assembles field data in each field and includes general names of common operands, encoded data, and field data. The host processor receives field data segments from work stations and provides the application program with encoded data.
