Abstract:

To provide a treating apparatus capable of producing a highly valuable product as much as possible from a purified coke oven gas at a low cost as an effective utilization technology for purified coke oven gas, etc.

Hydrogen gas is separated from purified coke oven gas with a gas-separation apparatus of an iron manufacturing plant using a pressure swing adsorption apparatus. The high-level treating apparatus for purified coke oven gas is provided with an oxygen-burning steam reforming apparatus 101 for adding steam and an oxygen-containing gas to the feed gas containing the purified coke oven gas and reforming the feed gas to a hydrogen-rich gas by steam reforming on a gas transfer line 105 extending to the pressure swing adsorption apparatus 103.
