Title:
HIGH LOAD COMBUSTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6457011
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately manage the accuracy of the flame stabilizing air quantity so as to reduce the combustion noise level by attaching a small projecting to the stamped end of a flame stabilizer plate on the inlet side of flame stabilizing air, and joining the projection to the vertical surface of an air ejection plate.

CONSTITUTION: Part of combustion air is mixed with fuel, and the mixture enters into the combustion chamber 11 and forms a flame around a flame hole part 18. Majority of the combustion air is introduced into an air chamber 9, and is supplied at a relatively high speed from flame shortening air holes 12 toward the flame, achieving a high load combustion. Part of the combustion air supplied to the air chamber 9 is decompressed as it passage through a narrow gap 8 and enters into the combustion chamber 11 from a flame stabilizing opening 10 at a relatively low speed so as to stabilize the flame root and reduced the combustion noise level. Since a small projection 5 is directly attached to the stamped end 19 of a flame stabilizer plate 7 which acts as the entrance for flame stabilizing air from the air chamber 9 to the flame stabilizing chamber 6, the clearance of the small gap 8 is determined by the height A of the small projection 5. Therefore, the flame stabilizing air quantity can be accurately controlled by the height A of the small projection 5.
