In this high-output type non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, a carbon material is composed of first graphite powder of which the average particle diameter is 5.0 μm or larger and 20.0 μm or smaller, the specific surface area is 10.0 m2/g or larger and 25.0 m2/g or smaller, the edge face of a crystal is exposed, and second graphite powder of which the average particle diameter is 5.0 μm or larger and 20.0 μm or smaller, the specific surface area is 1.0 m2/g or larger and 5.0 m2/g or smaller, and the exposure of the edge face of the crystal is restrained, while a mixing ratio of the first and the second graphite is controlled between 30:70 to 80:20.
