Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide utilization technique for lightening weight of a propeller shaft, utilizing HAZ-proof softening high-tension steel pipe.
CONSTITUTION: After working a seam welded steel pipe into a propeller shaft, a balance weight 2 for reducing whirling of rotation is fitted onto the shaft through a bonding agent 8 which becomes film thickness over 20μm and has the Young's modulus under 3000N/mm2 after drying, and hence good torsional fatigue characteristic is obtained, even after lightening the weight.
