To prevent discharge characteristics of a lithium battery from being lowered by a high polymer material for a battery reacting with non-aqueous electrolyte, when the lithium battery is exposed to a high temperature environmental condition.
The high polymer material for the battery, which comprises a repeating unit formed by bonding one group selected from oxygen, a methylene group, an isopropylidene group, a carbonyl group, a carbonyldioxy group, a carboxylic acid anhydrido group, an amide group, an ureylene group, and a sulfonyl group to p-phenylene, and another high polymer material for the battery, which comprises another repeating unit formed by bonding two or more kinds of those formed by bonding the one group selected from oxygen, a methylene group, an isopropylidene group, a carbonyl group, a carbonyldioxy group, a carboxylic acid anhydrido group, an amide group, a yreylene group, a sulfonyl group, to p-phenylene, are used for a separator 3, an insulating packing 7, and the like in the lithium battery.
