Title:
HIGH POWER SWITCH WITH COOLING FIN STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005032727
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a high power switch with a large rated current, having a large heat dissipating effect at a low cost.

This switch 1 has at least one switch pole 2 to carry and switch a current, and an external conductor 4 connected to a ground potential G to carry a reverse current running in the reverse direction to this current. In this case, at least this one switch pole 2 has an internal conductor 3 to carry the current, and the external conductor 4 is structured as a vessel 4 to surround the internal conductor. The cooling fin structure 5 having cooling fins is disposed in the external conductor 4. Preferably, the cooling fins are at least partially disposed in a portion of the vessel 4 which is different from the portion 15 of the vessel 4 where the interval from the internal conductor 3 is narrowest. Also preferably, the cooling fin structure 5 has the cooling fins even outside the vessel 4 and inside the vessel 4.
