PURPOSE: To obtain a high lubricating bearing of high precision by forming a bearing main body of MoB-Ni sintered body consisting of hard crystal particle phase of Mo2NiB2 and γ-phase of soft combined phase, and removing γ-phase from the inner peripheral surface by grinding and etching.
CONSTITUTION: Powdery MoB and powdery Ni are mixed in a specified ratio and formed and then sintered in about 1200°C. Thus, MoB-Ni sintered body of sintered structure consisting of hard crystal particle phase of Mo2NiB2 and soft combined phase of γ-phase (Mo-Ni solid solution) is formed into a bearing main body A having sliding surface 1 and an oil supply groove 4. The inner peripheral surface of the sliding surface 1 is ground and the etched to selectively remove γ-phase to form recesses 3 due to removed γ-phase and to form the hard crystal particle phase to be protruded and scattered in the inner peripheral surface. The hard crystal particle phase 2 in the bearing surface 2a supports a revolving shaft B and the recesses 3 formed by removing γ-phase accumulates oil. Thus, the high precision bearing is obtained which supports the revolving shaft B precisely and in good lubricating state even under a hard condition.
