To use a liquid of an extremely high pressure as a heat exchange medium without generating a leakage of the liquid during operating by providing a corrugated plate type heat exchanger and a high pressure container surrounding so as to be capable of reducing a positional deviation of a gasket by a high pressure fluid.
A plate pack 62 formed of a series of corrugated plates through gasket materials is contained in a high pressure container 64 formed with two inlet nozzles and outlet nozzles at a right end side, and an opening end of a left side of the container 64 is closed by an end plate 74 by using bolts 76 and nuts 78. A pressure to be applied to the plate 74 is transmitted to the pack 62 through a compression block 84. A gasket material formed as a constituting element of the pack 62 is deformed by about 25% by pressurizing with the block 84 to water leakage resistance, and the plates are brought into contact with vertexes of the corrugated pattern each other to assure high pressure sealability.
