To provide a high pressure fuel supply pump facilitating maintenance and management of the fastening angle at which a control member is installed and enabling the control member to be fixed at any desired installing angle.
The pump body 1 of this high pressure fuel supply pump 100 is composed of a pressurizing chamber 12 to pressurize the fuel, a plunger 2 to feed by pressure the fuel inside the chamber 12, a suction valve 5 installed at the fuel inlet of the chamber 12, a discharge valve 6 installed at the fuel outlet of the chamber 12, and a low pressure chamber 13 installed upstream of the suction valve 5, and the pump 100 is equipped with the control member 200 to control the operations of inside the pump body 1, an engaging member 211 installed so as to be engaged with the control member 200, and a fastening member 210 to be fastened to the pump body 1 through engagement of a threaded part 210a, wherein the fastening member 210 transmits a thrust force generated when fastened to the pump body 1 to the control member 200 through the engaging member 211, and the control member 200 is pressed to the inside of the pump body 1 and secured.
