Abstract:
PURPOSE: To start the lamp reliably by employing follow-type electrode and specific ratios between the short-circuit current and the inner, outer diameters of coil for specific short-circuit current of ballast.
CONSTITUTION: An electrode 10 filled with emitter is provided at the tip of conductive member 9 where said electrode 10 is comprised of electrode rod 11 and coil 12 which is a follow type coil projecting from the tip of electrode rod 11. The ratios between the short-circuit current 1.2W2.9A and inner, outer diameters D, d of coil 12 are set respectively in the range of 1.8W5.2A/mm and 1.3W3.3A/mm. Consequently it can be started reliably even with kick voltage lower than 4kv for example.
