Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce expansion of a sliding clearance and reduce leak amount from a compression chamber via the sliding clearance without increasing the weight of a high-pressure pump.SOLUTION: A cylinder body 3 of a high-pressure pump 1 includes: metallic cylinder portion 27 formed of a steel material to have a cylindrical shape and having an inner peripheral surface serving as a sliding surface with respect to a plunger 2; and a resin cylinder portion 28 formed of fiber-reinforced resin to have a cylindrical shape and fitted to the outer periphery of the metallic cylinder portion 27. Thus, the cylinder body 3 has a two-layer structure comprising an inner layer formed of the steel material and an outer layer formed of the fiber-reinforced resin. Compared to the steel material, the fiber-reinforced resin has a lighter weight and higher Young's modulus. Therefore, without increasing the weight of the cylinder body 3, the rigidity can be improved as a whole, and expansion of a sliding clearance 20 can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
