Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a high pulp content nonwoven composite fabric hydraulically entangled into a continuous filament substrate and useful as a fluid distribution material or the like for a heavy duty wiper, or absorbent care product.
CONSTITUTION: A nonwoven composite fabric of weighting capacity 20-200 gsm is obtained by overlaying (A) a continuous filament nonwoven support of less than 30 (weight) % (preferably 10 to 25%) having more than bond density about 250 pin bond position/square inches and made of nonwoven web of continuous spun bonded filament with (B) a pulp fiber more than 70% (preferably 75 to 90%) made of a short pulp more than 50% comprising a virgin hard wood pulp fiber, a virgin soft wood pulp fiber, the secondary fiber or the like and a long pulp less than 50%, and further (C) clay, starch or the like and (D) a peeling agent up to 3% and then by entangling hydraulically.
