Abstract:

To provide high-purity palladium which can be used for producing a palladium catalyst that has suppressed the lowering of its activity with time, a palladium film that has suppressed the lowering of its hydrogen permeability with time and the like.

The method for producing the high-purity palladium includes alternately repeating the steps of: moving a sulfur atom contained in the inside of the palladium to the surface; and removing the sulfur atom in the surface of the palladium.
