Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing high-purity strontium using sublimation purification.SOLUTION: In a strontium production method, a step 1 of preparing a granular strontium raw material remaining on a sieve having an opening size of 3-12 mm after sieving and a strontium raw material under the sieve after being sieved with the sieve, a step 2 of melting the strontium raw material on the sieve obtained by the step 1 in an inert atmosphere, a step 3 of adding the strontium raw material under the sieve obtained by the step 1 to the molten product to perform deoxidation, and a step 4 of purifying the deoxidized strontium raw material plural times by sublimation to recover strontium having improved purity, are carried out in this order.
