Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated film for a surface direct-coupled giant magnetoresistance element which can realize a laminated film for a surface direct-coupled giant magnetoresistance element (CPP-GMR) having a higher MR ratio and a higher sensitivity than the conventional art.SOLUTION: In a laminated film for a surface direct-coupled giant magnetoresistance element that includes a substrate, a magnetic free layer of n layers provided on the substrate, and a nonmagnetic layer of n-1 layers alternately laminated, n is an odd number and at least one nonmagnetic layer has a thickness such that an antiferromagnetic interlayer exchange coupling is formed between a pair of magnetic free layers in contact with both sides thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
