To perform a high-speed collision test by a small-sized device.
A table 5 for placing a test body 6 is provided on a lower part of a frame 1. A head support member 12 is installed on the center part under face of a ceiling plate 2 of the frame 1, and a plate member 14 is loosely fitted on its circumference, and a head 8 is fixed on its lower end by a fracture bolt 18. A hydraulic cylinder 16 is interposed between the ceiling plate 2 and the plate member 14, and a spring 9 is interposed between the plate member 14 and the head 8. When the fracture bolt 18 is fractured in the state where the spring 9 is compressed between the plate member 14 and the head 8 by elongating the hydraulic cylinder 16, the head 8 is pushed out in the state where a downward force is energized by elastic energy of the spring 9, accelerated at high speed, and collides with the test body 6. The downward force is continuously energized to the head 8 by the spring 9 during application of a collision stroke s for collapsing the test body 6, to thereby suppress the deceleration of the head 8 caused by a collision reaction.
