Abstract:

To provide a high-speed communication coupler which has high reliability of the high-speed data communication of about 100 Mbps, saves manhour, reduces the cost required for maintenance, and automatically establishes the communication of high performance.

A coupler 12 having a light projecting-receiving unit of a rolling stock 1 comprising near infrared ray projector-receivers 15 and 16 of lines 1 and 2, and a coupler 12' having a light projecting-receiving unit of a rolling stock 2 comprising near infrared ray projector-receivers 15' and 16' of the lines 1 and 2 are tightly coupled with and facing each other at a connection part of rolling stocks, and perform communication as a loose coupling having a space between the near infrared ray projector-receiver 15 and the near infrared ray projector-receiver 15', and between the near infrared ray projector-receiver 16 and the near infrared ray projector-receiver 16', respectively.
