Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a double-acting piston which can shorten the interval of switching from a going motion to a returning motion by disposing two concentric arcuate spaces in both end covers of a cylinder and dividing each arcuate space into a pilot chamber and a valve chamber with a flexible film, respective valve chambers of both covers being connected to air inlets and exhaust ports. CONSTITUTION:A piston rod 104 is passed through cylinder covers 102a, 102b fixed to both ends of a cylinder. A piston 106 is adapted to divide the interior of the cylinder into two air chambers R, S. An inner peripheral side radial path 124A and an outer peripheral side radial path 125a communicate with an arcaute space Va disposed on the cylinder cover. The space Va is divided into a valve chamber Va and a pilot pressure chamber V1a by a flexible film 126a. A space Va' mounted on the outer cylinder cover is divided in the same manner. Each pilot pressure chamber communicates with pilot pressure supply openings 128a, 128b, and each valve chamber communicates with air inlets 118a, 118b and an exhaust port.
