Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel submersible navigation body (for example, a submarine, a torpedo, an unmanned machine or the like) capable of moving underwater at high speed.SOLUTION: Provided is a submersible vehicle including a slender hull, and at least one propeller which is mounted to an end part of the hull and adapted to move the hull underwater. The submersible vehicle has dimensions and a constitution that facilitate high speed movement underwater by generating super-cavitation water flowing along an exterior surface of the hull from the at least one propeller, following rotation of the at least one propeller at an appropriate speed, and thereby reducing friction on the exterior surface of the hull.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 38A
