Title:
HIGH SPEED TIG WELDING METHOD FOR AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3623442
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high speed TIG welding method for austenitic stainless steel by which stable and satisfactory beads can be formed without generating irregular beads such as humping, etc.
SOLUTION: This is the high speed TIG welding method for the austenitic stainless steel by which welding is performed at a welding speed 40 cm/min or over whose maximum welding speed when using an argon gas as a shielding gas is 30 cm/min or over in the TIG welding of the austenitic stainless steel by using a non-consumable electrode and by using a mixed gas composed, for example, of a ternary mixture consisting of [gaseous He + gaseous H2 + gaseous Ar] or a mixed gas composed, for example, of a binary mixture consisting of [gaseous He + gaseous H2] as the compositions of the shielding gas.
