Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an Al-Li based alloy high in strength as well as excellent in stress corrosion cracking resistance (SCC resistance) and suitable as the materials for various members in the fields of aircraft industry, automobile industry, electrical industry, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The Al-Li alloy incoporating, by weight, 0.5 to 3.5% Li, 0.5 to 6.0% Cu and ≥0.05% In, furthermore contg. at least one kind element selected among the group consisting of 0.05 to 3.0% Mg, 0.05 to 0.3% Zr, 0.05 to 0.3% Cr, 0.05 to 1.5% Mn, 0.05 to 0.3% V and 0.005 to 0.1% Ti and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is prepd.
