Title:
HIGH-STRENGTH ALUMINUM STABILIZED SUPERCONDUCTIVE STRAND WIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03245415
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To suitably use Al stabilized superconductive strand wire for a conductor for a magnet or the like by fixing and strengthening an Al stabilized superconductive strand wire by means of a wire rod for strengthening and a Zn material together with improving heat conductivity.

CONSTITUTION: Having a flat-square wire rod for strengthening 1 as a core, ten superconductive wires 4, in which in this case seven superconductive cores are compounded in an Al matrix 2, are braided, and a Zn material 5 is filled in the gap of the superconductive wires 4 and the wire rod for strengthening, and respective superconductive wires 4 are fixed and strengthened by the wire rod 1 for strengthening. When an Al material is coated around these Al stabilized superconductive braided wires, the Zn material 5 is also filled between the Al stabilized superconductive braided wires and an Al coating material 6 so that heat conductivity between both of them is excellently held. Thereby, even in case of being used for a conductor such as a magnet, no deformation of the conductor is generated by electromagnetic force applied during the use. And, since the Zn material fills between the heat conductive wires, heat conductivity is excellent and cooling of the superconductive cores is efficiently performed.
