Abstract:

To provide a thin, strong and durable antifrictional intravascular graft.

A stent graft made of a high strength and antifrictional material, becomes a highly durable and low profile in vivo proteose. The sent graft is composed of one or more stent segments covered with cloth provided by weaving, knitting or braiding biologically compatible, high tensile strength, abrasion resistant and highly durable fiber, for example, dragline silk (a silk ribbon thread) of a spider. One or more stent segments are preferably a balloon inflatable type or a self-inflatable type. The cloth can be attached on the stent segment by using several known materials and methods.
