To provide a granule with high strength by effectively utilizing ALC scraps that will be largely generated in the future, and to provide a method for easily manufacturing the granule.
The high strength granule has a structure in which the ALC granular crushed matter is consolidated and of which the crushing strength is 20 kg or more. It is obtained by adding cake-like semi-cured matter scraps generated in the ALC manufacturing step prior to autoclave curing to the ALC granular crushed matter, which is produced by crushing the ALC scraps in granule with the particle size of 0.001-1 mm, adjusting the water content to 20-50 wt.% and sufficiently mixing the same, then granulating the mixture and conducting the steam curing of the same with an autoclave.
