Abstract:

To provide a high strength PC steel rod which has good hydrogen fatigue resisting characteristics, and has high strength of ≥1,300 MPa.

The high strength PC steel rod having excellent hydrogen fatigue resisting characteristics has a composition containing, by mass, 0.2 to 0.6% C, 0.01 to 2% Si, 0.05 to 0.5% Mn, 0.3 to 2% Mo and 0.005 to 0.1% Al, and, if required, containing one or more kinds selected from 0.0002 to 0.005% Mg, 0.05 to 2% Cr, 0.05 to 3% Ni, 0.05 to 1% Cu, 0.05 to 0.5% V, 0.005 to 0.1% Nb, 0.005 to 0.05% Ti and 0.0003 to 0.005% B, and, in which the ratio of Mo/Mn by mass% is also ≥1.5, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. The diffusible hydrogen content in a fatigue limit is ≥0.2 ppm.
