Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a high-strength and high-modulus polyethylene fiber of sufficient fineness with high dispersibility.
SOLUTION: This high-strength polyethylene fiber has the following characteristics: single filament fineness is ≤1.5 dtex, tensile strength is ≥15 cN/dtex, tensile modulus is ≥300 cN/dtex, and the proportion of maldispersed fibers when made into cut fibers is ≤2.0 wt.%.
