Abstract:

To provide woven fabrics of high strength while they have the fabric hand of short fiber, woven fabrics having improved deterioration in the mechanical strength, particularly tear resistance, even after the washing treatment using at least one of sodium hypochlorite and enzymatic treatment and a method of producing the high-strength woven fabric.

The woven fabric of high strength has a tear strength of ≥100 N (the measured value according to JIS-L-1096 the single tongue method) in at least one of the warp and weft directions. The woven fabric is produced by using the sheathcore conjugated spun yarn as at least one part of the warp and the weft and the strength of the core of the conjugated spun yarn is ≥24 g/d and the sheath is constituted with natural fiber wherein the amount of the synthetic fiber for the core is preferably 5-50 wt.% based on the sheath-core conjugated spun yarn.
