Title:
HIGH-TEMPERATURE COMBUSTION CATALYST
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6451146
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To raise the catalytic activity for a temperature range of from 800W1,300°C and to prolong the catalytic life, by fixing catalyst particles supporting a catalyst activator on the inner surface of a porous, hollow globule having heat resistance, thereby forming a high-temperature combustion catalyst.

CONSTITUTION: Catalyst particles supporting a catalyst component 3 are fixed on the inner surface of a porous, hollow globule 1 having heat resistance, thereby forming a high-temperature combustion catalyst. The particle diameter of the porous, hollow globule 1 is varied depending upon the required heat resistance of the catalyst. However, it is preferable that the average particle diameter be from 0.1W10μ and diameters of the pores of the hollow globule be around 10. As the compound constituting the hollow fine particle, especially preferred are those having high melting points such as zirconium silicate, calcium silicate, etc. Further, as the catalyst activator, preferred are a platinum compound, a nonmetallic oxide, a composite oxide comprising perovskite, etc.
