Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary union assembly using a single special bearing port placed in such a way as to be able to cope with axial, radial and fluctuating loads.
SOLUTION: This rotary union has a bearing means attached to a housing and supporting the rotation of a rotor, and an internal coolant means for cooling the bearing means in cooperation with the rotary union. The coolant means is equipped with plural fins projecting radially outwards at equal intervals from the rotor to cause air circulation between the rotor and the bearing means and to cool the bearing means.
