Title:
HIGH TEMPERATURE SEPARATION PROCESS FOR CARBON DIOXIDE BY USING SAMARIUM OXIDE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2708093
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To separate and recover required gas components from high temperature combustion exhaust gas by passing high temperature exhaust gas in the high temperature state through an adsorbent containing an inorganic solid substance demonstrating a surface basic properties, and adsorbing and separating the required gas components.
CONSTITUTION: When required gas component are separated and recovered from high temperature combustion exhaust gas, the high temperature combustion exhaust gas is set at the present temperature or approximately at 200°-800°C and then passed through an adsorbent containing an inorganic solid substance demonstrating a surface basic properties such as samarium oxide. Then the required gas components are adsorbed to the inorganic solid substance demonstrating the surface basic properties, and then respective specified gas components are separated selectively and recovered based on the time difference of adsorption and separation of respective gas components to the inorganic solid substance. The required gas components are recovered efficiently and at low cost by the above arrangement, and turned into resources again. In this connection, the objective gas is carbon dioxide and/or nitrogen gas.
