Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide member for high temperature applications, capable of exhibiting excellent slide performance even under a high temperature condition of 400°C or more and a condition in which a high load acts.SOLUTION: A slide member 1A is configured to hold an expansion graphite layer 2 between a first metal plate 3 and a second metal plate 4 in a state that a plurality of holds 3a, 4a formed on the respective metal plates 3, 4 are filled with surface portions 2a, 2b of the expansion graphite layer 2. A position in a surface direction of each hole 3a formed on the first metal plate 3 is not consistent with a position in the surface direction of each hole 4a formed on the second metal plate 4. The slide member 1A is, for example, used as a radial bearing bent into a cylindrical shape, or as a thrust bearing punched into an annular plate shape.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
