Title:
HIGH TEMPERATURE SOLID ELECTROLYTE FUEL CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3433975
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To efficiently generate power even if hydrocarbon containing sulfur is used as fuel.
CONSTITUTION: In a high temperature solid electrolyte fuel cell using hydrocarbon containing sulfur as fuel, a desulfurizing catalyst 101 is filled in a fuel supply chamber 11, and heat insulating materials 104, 105 are arranged in a power generating chamber 15 and a fuel discharge chamber 16 respectively. The poisoning of a fuel electrode is prevented and the decrease in catalytic activity is prevented by heat insulating effect. Desulfurization is conducted effeciently and steadily, and power generating capability is not damaged.
