Title:
HIGH-TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTIVE SWITCH ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05226713
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To get a switching element easy of manufacture and quick of response without the power loss in on condition or at changeover by controlling the switching by changing the output of electromagnetic waves to be applied to a junction or intermitting the application of electromagnetic waves. CONSTITUTION:First, in such condition that electromagnetic waves 6 are not applied to a Josephson junction 1 by interrupting the electromagnetic waves 6 from an electromagnetic wave application means 2 with a changeover, controller 3, the critical current of the Josephson junction 1 returns from 0 to its original value, so it goes to the On condition that a superconductive current flows to this junction 1. At this time, there is no electron loss in the Josephson junction 1, and a current flows from a power source 4 to load 5. Next, when electromagnetic waves are applied to the Josephson junction 1, with the changeover controller 3 changed over, the critical current at the Josephson junction 1 becomes zero, and it changes over into the OFF condition where the superconductive current does not flow. Thus, a high-temperature superconductive switch element, which gets in off condition at radiation of electromagnetic waves and gets in on condition at interruption of electromagnetic waves 6.
