Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a dense high temp. superconductor of desired size free from warpage and torsion by combining plural high temp. superconductor chips whose ends are made of a mixture of a high temp. superconductor with a metal, joining and integrating the chips.
CONSTITUTION: Plural high temp. superconductor chips whose ends are made of a mixture of 100 pts. wt. high temp. superconductor with 20-100 pts. wt. metal are combined so that the joining parts of the chips overlap each other. High temp. superconductor powder or a mixture of this powder with metal powder is interposed between the joining parts as required. The combined chips are joined by heating and integrated.
