To obtain a high-temp. vibration damper material capable of stably exhibiting good vibration-attenuating properties even in a high temp. region while firmly maintaining a good pliability involving a close contact with a curved surface, etc., by blending specific components at a specific proportion.
Viscoelastic component which is a mixture comprising butyl rubber, a C5 petroleum resin and asphalt in an amount of 100 pts.wt. is blended with 200-500 pts.wt. inorg. filler to form a high-temp. vibration damper. If necessary, other rubber component, polyvinyl chloride and/or a resin component such as a tackifier may be used in the viscoelastic component. The butyl rubber, C5 petroleum resin and asphalt contents of the high-temp. vibration damper are each pref. 5 to 10wt.%. The viscoelastic component content of the high-temp. vibration damper is pref. 20 to 30wt.%.
