PURPOSE: To perform hot hydrostatic pressing and press molding within the same device by subjecting an object to be treated to the hot hydrostatic pressing under the isotropic high pressure developed by advancing of a pressurizing ram in a pressure vessel then to the pressure molding by the readvancing of the pressurizing ram.
CONSTITUTION: An object 9 to be treated is preheated and is placed on a lower cover body 4. The body 4 is put on a vessel 1. A pressure medium is charged into the vessel 1 and an expansion cylinder device 7 is extended to advance a pressurizing ram 5 until the ram abuts on the top end surface of the object 9. Therefore the pressure medium is increased of pressure and molds the object 9 in isotropy by pressurizing. Thereafter the pressure medium in the vessel 1 is released through a pressure regulating valve 10 and while part of the pressure medium is held left, the device 7 is again extended in the pressurizing direction to readvance the ram 5. The object 9 is deformed and pressurized between the pressurizing surface thereof and the body 4.
